These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sayelle mobile application ("the App"). When the App presents these Terms and you choose to agree, or when you continue to use the App after valid notice of an update, you agree to them.
Sayelle is operated by DAVID HRDALO / ABN: 56942727929, based in Brisbane, QLD, Australia. You can contact us at support@sayelle.app or via the Support page.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on compatible devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and any mandatory app-store terms that apply to your download. On Apple platforms, Apple's standard end-user licence terms also apply. On Android, the applicable Google Play terms also apply when Sayelle is distributed through Google Play.
The App, its software, design, branding, character names, illustrations, and all related content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.
Sayelle uses an on-device AI language model to generate conversation partners' replies and feedback. You are interacting with AI, not a person. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, inappropriate, unnatural, or incorrect, including grammar corrections. Sayelle is language practice and must not be relied on for medical, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice. See About Sayelle AI.
Sayelle is educational software intended to help you practise conversational language skills in its supported languages. We don't guarantee any particular level of fluency, learning outcome, or proficiency result from using the App.
The App requires a compatible supported device, an internet connection for initial downloads and connected features, and several gigabytes of free storage for its on-device AI and speech models. Platform availability and features may differ between iPhone and Android. We may release updates, and features, scenarios, or lessons may change, be added, or be removed over time. We don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
The App creates an anonymous account automatically to provide essential account, hearts, streak, and subscription features. When Cloud Sync is enabled, it also syncs learning progress and saved text history. An anonymous account may not be recoverable if its local credentials are lost. You may link that same account using the recovery option for your platform—Sign in with Apple on iPhone or Sign in with Google on Android. You're responsible for keeping access to any account you sign into secure.
You must be at least 13 to use Sayelle. If the law where you live requires a parent or guardian to authorise your use or the processing of your personal data, you may use Sayelle only with that authorisation. Sayelle is not intended for children under 13. Parents and guardians should review the App's AI, advertising, and transcript-sync features before permitting a teenager to use it.
Sayelle Plus is a monthly auto-renewing subscription billed through the store where you subscribe—Apple's App Store on iPhone or Google Play on Android when available. The store purchase screen shows the localized price, billing period, renewal terms, and any introductory offer before you confirm. It renews automatically until cancelled through the applicable store's subscription settings. Refund requests are handled through that store's standard process, subject to applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer guarantee or refund right you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law, regardless of the store's or our own refund policies—see Section 11 below.
You agree not to use Sayelle to create or encourage unlawful, abusive, sexually exploitative, harassing, deceptive, self-harm-promoting, or otherwise harmful content; exploit or endanger children; attempt to obtain real professional advice from a fictional practice scenario; submit another person's personal information without authority; disrupt or overload the service; infringe the rights of others; or reverse-engineer the App except to the extent that applicable law or an open-source licence expressly permits it. You may report inappropriate AI output using the reporting option provided in the App when available or through Support.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided "as is" and we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms. However, nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (including guarantees of acceptable quality and fitness for purpose) or any equivalent consumer protection law in your jurisdiction. Where permitted, our liability is limited to re-supplying the App or, at our option, refunding the amount you paid for it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will provide reasonable notice in the App or through another appropriate channel before a material change takes effect and may ask you to accept the updated Terms. Changes do not limit mandatory consumer rights.
Questions about these Terms: support@sayelle.app, or via the Support page.
A voice-first AI language tutor. Speech and AI generation run on your phone; when Cloud Sync is on, saved text history and progress can also sync when connected.
