Sayelle creates an anonymous account automatically the first time you open the app to provide essential account, hearts, streak, and subscription features. When Cloud Sync is enabled, learning progress and saved text can also sync under that account. An anonymous account may not be recoverable if its local credentials are lost. Linking it with Sign in with Apple on iPhone or Sign in with Google on Android enables reliable recovery and cross-device access.
Your account is tied to an anonymous identifier, not your name — see our Privacy Policy for exactly what's stored against it.
In the app, go to Profile → Account Settings. Guests see Delete All Data; signed-in users see Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account identifier and associated live Sayelle data, including progress and synced transcripts. Apple, Google Play, and RevenueCat may retain transaction records under their own legal and operational requirements. You'll be asked to confirm because the deletion can't be undone.
In Profile → Account Settings, you can turn off Cloud Sync. This keeps new learning progress, resumable lesson and scenario state, homework, and chat history on your device rather than syncing or restoring them from the cloud. It does not delete existing cloud copies; use Delete All Data or Delete Account to permanently remove those records. Essential account, subscription, and legal records remain where needed to provide those features.
If you can't access the app, email support@sayelle.app with the subject “Sayelle account deletion request” (or use the Support page) with a request to delete your account instead, and we'll do it within 30 days and confirm once it's done.
Deletion removes your account and associated app data from our live database. Encrypted, provider-managed disaster-recovery backups may temporarily retain deleted records until the applicable backup cycle expires; those backups are isolated from normal product use. Anonymous accounts are also automatically deleted after 12 months without a recorded app open.
Uninstalling the app normally removes its downloaded models and local app data, but it does not delete the server-side account or guarantee that an anonymous account can later be recovered. Do not rely on uninstalling as an account-deletion method.
Cancelling Sayelle Plus (to stop future billing) is done through the store where you subscribed—your Apple Account subscription settings or Google Play's Subscriptions page—not through us. See our Billing & Refunds page.
If you used Sign in with Apple, you can separately revoke Sayelle's Apple authorization from your Apple Account settings. If you used Sign in with Google, you can separately remove Sayelle's connection from your Google Account settings. Deleting the Sayelle account is not conditional on completing either separate provider step, and revoking a provider connection by itself does not delete your Sayelle account or data.
