Sayelle is a free AI language tutor app for iPhone and Android. You speak or type with a tutor that runs on your phone, follow guided lessons and scenarios, and review with study tools. After a one-time model download, conversations work offline, even in airplane mode. It teaches English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Hindi and Japanese.
Nine: English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Chinese, Hindi and Japanese. Each one works both ways, so you can learn it or use it as the language the lessons are explained in.
Yes. Once the models and content are downloaded, speech recognition, AI replies and text-to-speech run on your phone with no connection. Signing in, purchases, ads, syncing and content updates need internet. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.
Sayelle runs its AI tutor, speech recognition and voice on your phone, so it works best on a recent phone with plenty of memory. On iPhone you need iOS 18 or later. On Android you need Android 8.0 or later, and 8 GB of memory or more is recommended. Allow about 4 GB of free space for the one-time model download, best done over Wi-Fi. On older or lower-memory phones, conversations may be slower and the app may close during voice practice. On Android, Sayelle shows a one-time notice if your phone is below the recommended memory.
Practice energy is a free-tier pacing mechanic. Starting a new lesson or scenario, or generating a new study set, spends some energy; resuming costs less, and free chat and existing study sets are free. Energy recharges automatically over time, and Sayelle Plus provides unlimited energy. The app shows how much you have and when it next recharges.
Sayelle Plus provides unlimited practice energy, unlocks every Plus lesson and scenario, lets you create and edit your own custom lessons and scenarios, and removes ads. The localized price and renewal terms are shown in the app before you subscribe.
No. Sayelle creates an anonymous guest account automatically, and nothing is locked behind signing in. Signing in is optional and lets you recover your progress after a reinstall or use it on another phone. You can sign in with Apple (iPhone), Google, or a six-digit code sent to your email.
If you have progress as a guest on this phone, Sayelle shows what each side has and asks before combining them. XP, Sparks, lessons, scenarios, study sets, and chats are added together without double-counting, and the longer streak is kept. Practice energy is not combined. If you choose not to combine, nothing changes, and Sayelle saves a backup of both before it combines anything.
Signing out removes your learning data from that phone and leaves it safe in your account; signing back in restores it. It does not delete your account. If Cloud Sync is off, the phone holds the only copy, so the app asks whether to keep or remove it.
Yes, once you sign in. Your account carries your progress, XP, Sparks, streak, and (with Cloud Sync on) your lessons, scenarios, study sets, and chats. Open the app on the other device and sign in with any method linked to your account; you can see and manage them in Profile → Account Settings → Sign-in methods. Downloaded models stay on each device.
Speech recognition, AI reply generation, and text-to-speech happen on your device, and raw microphone audio is not uploaded. Saved text transcripts and learning progress can sync to Sayelle's backend when Cloud Sync is enabled, and that text may be used to improve Sayelle, including training AI models; turn Cloud Sync off to keep it on your device. When signed in, you can continue on another device. Free-tier users may also see ads. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
In the app, go to Profile → Account Settings and turn off Cloud Sync. Your learning progress, resumable lesson and scenario state, homework, and chat history then stay on your device and are not newly synced or restored from the cloud. Existing cloud copies remain until you choose Delete All Data (for guests) or Delete Account (when signed in). Minimal account, practice energy and streak, subscription, and legal records remain where needed to provide those features. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Yes. Sayelle is available on Android through Google Play and on iPhone through the App Store.
Subscriptions are managed through the store where you subscribed: your Apple Account or Google Play. See our Billing & Refunds page for details.
In the app, go to Profile → Account Settings → Delete All Data (for guests) or Delete Account (when signed in). See our Account & Data Deletion page for details and what to do if you can't access the app.
